Accessibility Statement
How accessible this website is, what we know does not work yet, and how to tell us about a barrier.
Last updated:
We review this statement periodically and after every significant change to the website.
Our commitment
Biotama A.Ş. wants everyone, including people with disabilities, to be able to use biotama.com.tr and our Celure cosmetics website celurecosmetic.com; this statement covers both. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is a voluntary commitment, in line with Article 7 of the Turkish Law No. 5378 on Persons with Disabilities and Presidential Circular No. 2025/10 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications.
Conformance status
This website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA: most content meets the requirements, but some parts do not yet fully conform. The known limitations are listed below.
Known limitations
- The interactive Google Maps map on the contact page is third-party content that we cannot make fully accessible. It is loaded only on request; our address is always given as text, with a link that opens the location in Google Maps.
- The page shown for an address that does not exist ("page not found") needs JavaScript. Without JavaScript the browser shows an empty page; browsers and search engines are still told that the page does not exist.
- Some elements move by themselves: the band of certificates on biotama.com.tr, the changing category photos on celurecosmetic.com and a few slowly shifting decorative colours. They stop when your operating system asks for reduced motion, and the certificates and the photos pause while the pointer or keyboard focus is on them. On biotama.com.tr the "Pause animations" button next to them and at the bottom of every page stops all of them; on celurecosmetic.com the pause button next to the photos and the "Pause animations" button at the bottom of every page stop them. That choice is not stored, so it applies until the page is fully reloaded.
- Some names of Turkish authorities and legal forms (for example "anonim şirket") appear in Turkish on the English and German pages without a separate language marking, so a screen reader may pronounce them with English or German rules.
What we do
- Pages can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a link that skips to the main content.
- Text and interactive elements are designed for sufficient colour contrast.
- Images that carry information have text alternatives; form fields have labels and their errors are announced.
- The website respects the reduced-motion setting of your operating system, and animations that keep running can be paused with the "Pause animations" button.
- Every page declares its language, so screen readers use the right pronunciation; the language names in the language menu are marked in their own language.
How we assessed the website
This statement is based on a self-assessment by the website's developers: automated testing with axe-core of one page of every type on both websites (biotama.com.tr and celurecosmetic.com) in all three languages, the sign-in pages and the administration pages, and manual checks of keyboard use, focus order, forms, moving content and the names that screen readers announce. The automated tool could not measure colour contrast or the size of touch targets; these were checked against the design's colour tables and by measuring the controls. The statement was prepared on the date shown at the top of this page.
